Graphic Designer


Ripley’s Gatlinburg is currently seeking a creative and innovative designer who enjoys storytelling through transformative and unconventional designs.


As a Graphic Designer, you'll play a vital role in enhancing and supporting the marketing and branding efforts for not only Ripley's Aquarium but also its many other attractions. You'll work closely with the Creative Manager, copywriters, and web developers to interpret needs, objectives, and strategic creative direction to create captivating designs that support the brand and amplify the product experience story.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Create dynamic graphic designs across diverse projects and mediums, aligning with business objectives and goals.


  • Collaborate with managers to ensure designs meet organizational guidelines and brand expectations, accurately convey concepts, and effectively showcase the company or client.


  • Manage workload effectively, meet deadlines, adhere to budget constraints, and prioritize project implementation, while also being able to work independently on multiple projects simultaneously.


  • Facilitate communication between the Marketing Director, Creative Manager, and local businesses.


  • Update and maintain internal databases for designs, photography, and video.
  • Required Skills and Qualifications:


  • Exceptional creativity and innovative design skills


  • 2+ years of extensive experience across a variety of media (print, motion, web) including proficiency in InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.


  • Excellent communication and presentation skills


  • Organizational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment


  • Desire to continue building skill set with education and training.


  • An amazing portfolio that wow's even the toughest critic.


  • Assist all departments and attractions with special projects as needed or as directed by management.


Preferred Skills and Qualifications:


  • 2+ years of experience in professional graphic design, preferably with a creative or marketing agency


  • Proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premier Pro, Lightroom, Keynote, Figma, Microsoft Office


  • Photography and video experience and proficiency with editing software preferred


  • Strong creative thinking and ability to execute successful and compelling design solutions


  • Team player who is self-directed, detail-oriented, flexible, and able to multi-task in order to manage multiple projects with aggressive deadlines. Takes ownership of their work


  • Previous experience in tourism and entertainment industry a plus
