The bartender is responsible for greeting and providing positive guest interactions while accurately mixing and serving beverages to guests in a pleasant and efficient manner. The bartender is knowledgeable of spirits, cocktails and wine and with that knowledge, upsells, recommends menu items, tests and creates new drink recipes and learns about the guest’s preferences. Must ensure that beverages are stored properly, safety regulations are enforced, and supplies are maintained. The bartender will take food and beverage orders when necessary, and will oversee and maintain the cleanliness of the bar during & after his/her shift.

At all times, bartenders are expected to be attentive to our guest needs and making them feel welcome, comfortable, important and relaxed.

  • Follow all guidelines, policies and procedures as outlined by PHM’s Employee Handbook such as, reporting to scheduled shift, report to work on time, reporting absences, have a professional demeanor, etc.
  • Demonstrate brand standards, behaviors, hallmarks and mandates.
  • Follow all emergency and safety guidelines in order to provide a safe and secure environment for guests, associates and visitors.
  • Report, turn in, and/or log all lost and found items according to established procedures.
  • Responsible for check handling, credit card and cash control procedures; collect and process payment from guests.
  • Obtain, count and secure bartender’s bank and balance cash drawer at end of shift.
  • Greet guests pleasantly as they approach the bar; promote house drinks and utilize up-selling skills to maximize revenues.
  • Verify identification and age requirement to serve alcoholic beverage.
  • Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and/or serve food to the guest in a prompt and courteous manner while maintaining a high level of quality and consistency, to guests directly or through wait staff.
  • Must be an expert with beverage menu and the ability to mix items on menu, mix traditional and creative cocktails.
  • Must know/ be familiar with the latest in mix-ology, bar equipment, and sanitation standards, with a focus on maintaining an attractive bar.
  • Must be able to carry tray of food and drinks with poise and ease.
  • Coordinate food service with restaurant(s) for bar/lounge guests if applicable.
  • Set up bar including all liquor, mixers, ice, garnishes, glassware and supplies. Perform pre- and post-shift side-work (empty/fill ice-bins, prepare garnishments, replenish/store snacks, restock bar inventory and supplies, etc.).
  • Prepares all requisitions for liquor and set-up items and servicing to the guest. Requisition all necessary supplies. Inventory unused liquor and beverages.
  • Maintain a clean work area by removing trash, cleaning bar / bar tables, washing glasses, utensils, and equipment.
  • Ensure that all liquor is properly secured before, during, and at close of shift.
  • Adhere to established pouring standards and drink recipes to provide a consistent product to the guests and to control costs.
  • Adhere to proper alcohol handling, sanitation, and safety procedures, and maintain appropriate dating, labeling, and rotation of all beverage items.

We are looking for a professional, high-energy Bartender with excellent communication skills to serve classical cocktails and exciting new beverages to our customers. The Bartender will greet customers, learn about their preferences, answer questions, recommend menu items, prepare and serve beverages and food. The bartender will also upsell items, create recipes, utilize proper equipment and ingredients, and handle basic cleaning duties.
