The Role
AXS is seeking a highly collaborative Human Resources Manager to join our Contact Center and corporate office in Dallas, TX. You will be a strategic partner to the Vice President of our Contact Center and our different corporate business units in our Dallas and Tempe office, with a heavy focus on employee relations, compensation, and workforce data.
What Will You Do?
- Provide day-to-day human resources services to employees and managers in the areas of employee relations, fostering leadership success, shaping the employee experience, creating an inclusive culture, and policy improvement, implementation, and administration.
- Interviewing and hiring of all contact center employees including working with agencies as appropriate.
- Onboard all new hires in Dallas and Tempe in collaboration with our US HR team.
- Partner with managers to create/edit job descriptions to reflect current needs of the organization. Proactively audit existing job descriptions to ensure they are aligned to support departmental/organizational changes.
- Work closely with our Compensation team to create jobs, review market comp and internal equity and create salary ranges by title and location.
- Conduct employee relations investigations, maintain documentation and ensure confidentiality
- Maintain relevant Slack channels, update trackers, and communicate updates regarding new hires and terminations with Talent Acquisition
- Update employee data in HRIS, payroll and applicable systems to ensure accuracy, identify and research errors, and ensure system correction are made as needed.
- Conduct and document exit interviews for assigned client group, analyze data to identify trends and provide updates to HR leadership and recommend improvements to existing processes.
- Monitor client group environment and the employee experience. Provides leaders with analysis and recommendations to maintain high levels of engagement. Facilitates action planning and follow through in support of employee engagement surveys.
- Ensure successful execution of company policies, programs and initiatives; communicates changes and expectations with client groups.
- Partner with corporate benefits department to ensure successful implementation of new programs and open enrollments. Facilitates questions from employees to the benefit group and ensures resolution of questions or issues.
- Works with Corporate payroll department to ensure employees are paid correctly. Closes and finalizes payroll for 2 different cycles.
- Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.
- Coordinate with members of the Human Resources, Finance and IT teams in the preparation and execution of the change management, communication, training, and implementation plans relates to HR/Payroll system processes.
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to HRIS users.
- Support HR, management, finance and operations teams with reporting and data sourcing as needed.
- Manage HR data integrity including the use of employee information, data protection, and data accuracy.
- Lead and support the resolution of integration issues, execute ad hoc data uploads, implement change requests, and develop complex reports.
- Pull and analyze workforce data and metrics to help identify trends and inform recommendations. Keep leadership apprised of key metrics and discover areas where action may need to be taken.
What Will You Bring?
- 5+ years of human resources generalist experience including employee relations, compensation, benefits, culture, and onboarding.
- Experience with HRIS and payroll systems, data, and reporting
- Familiarity with Federal and State employment and leave laws (i.e., FMLA, CFRA, PDL, ADA,)
- Experience working with leaders at all levels across an organization
- Strong business acumen
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and in team environment
- Excellent multitasking and time management skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work effectively and with a sense of urgency to perform administrative tasks, cope well with change, and maintain composure under pressure
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Highly collaborative workstyle
- High degree of self-awareness
- Previous experience working with a contact center preferred
- BA/BS Degree - Business or HRM preferred
