MISSION
Development of calculation models for transmission simulation, structural, thermal, and fluid dynamics analysis related to products designed by R&D platforms to define the correct sizing of components by customer technical requirements.
KEY RESPONSABILITIES
- Analytical calculation for the main components of gearboxes (gears, bearings, shafts) according to standard regulations (ISO, AGMA, DIN, Atex) to define the correct sizing of components
- Finite element Analysis of critical components (flange or gearbox housing) to predict how a product reacts to real physical effects (es: forces, vibration, heat, fluid flow,..)
- Correlation between analytical calculation results and testing results
- Support and work in a team with Design Platforms to define the best compromise between design solution and performance reliability, through advanced calculation
- Collaboration with Application Engineer for optimizations of Customer gearboxes
- Development of specific software for the gearbox performance calculation (typically KISSsoft/KISSsys), according to the bill of material and product configurator
- Calculation of technical data for the Sales catalog
- Definition of internal standard for calculation procedure and instruction for testing execution
- Evaluate and monitor norms evolution and new calculation methodologies
