What you will enjoy doing*

  • In this role, you will be responsible for asset inventory reporting, planning and management, as well as evaluate documented resolutions and analyze trends for ways to prevent future problems
  • Alert management to emerging trends in incidents, further the deployment of hardware including computers, monitors, and peripherals
  • You will be handling customer technical support cases through phone, ticketing system, and email submission and escalate problems (when required) to the Infrastructure Team and Technical Support Manager as needed
  • Build rapport with service desk customers is required
  • Additionally, you will be required to troubleshoot advanced computer issues (network, phone, hardware, software, & peripherals) and to record, track and document the service desk request problem-solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to final resolution
  • Apply diagnostic utilities to aid in troubleshooting
  • Access software updates, drivers, knowledge bases, and FAQ resources on the Internet/Intranet to aid in problem resolution
  • Assist in software releases and rollouts according to Change Management best practices
  • Perform remote and hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, and configuring systems and applications
  • Further you will identify and learn appropriate software and hardware used and supported by the organization
  • You will ensure virus definitions; software updates and patches are up to date. You will perform preventative maintenance, including checking and cleaning of workstations, printers, and peripherals
  • Perform post-resolution follow ups as required
  • You will be required to test fixes to ensure problem has been adequately resolved
  • Provide support for voice communications & voicemail systems

What makes you great

  • You have an Associates degree in IT related field or equivalent combination of education and experience, plus minimum of four (4) years of IT support experience in a business environment
  • Experience with Microsoft SCCM is preferred, as well as certifications in one or more of the following: HDI-DST, A+, Microsoft MCSA for Windows 10, Dell Certified Technician
  • In addition, you have advanced knowledge of troubleshooting computer hardware, software and peripherals issues within a business environment
  • Working knowledge of Windows diagnostic utilities is required, as well as experience with desktop and server operating systems, including Microsoft Windows 10 Enterprise, Server 2012 and Server 2019
  • You have experience working in an ITIL-driven environment, and working knowledge of ITIL principles and processes
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills suit your profile, further exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening and questioning skills
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is necessary
