Job Overview:
Under general supervision, this position maintains, improves, and verifies inventory accuracy.
The process is designed to count parts in all storage locations without interruption of normal production activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Identify the need for counts and analyze part shortages.
  • Conduct counts and make corrections provided in a timely fashion to correct inventory inaccuracy.
  • Communicate corrections to materials planners in a timely manner.
  • Work in different shifts and weekends if necessary.
  • Perform daily cycle counts in addition to counts required for part build-outs, engineering changes, receiving exceptions, etc.
  • Responsible for monitoring and controlling inventory integrity.
  • Research inventory discrepancies.
  • Open cartons, bundles, and other containers to count items and/or weigh materials to determine the quantity on hand.
  • Investigate issues causing inventory discrepancies and work cross-functionally to put in corrective measures as needed causing inventory discrepancies.
  • Track and post-KPIs for cycle counting topics.

QUALIFICATIONS:
The minimum level of education:
This position requires an Associate's degree in (choose all that apply):
  • Business Administration, Supply Chain/Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Information Technology/Management Information Systems (MIS).
  • Or related area or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Professional Experience:
Co-Op/ internship and/ or up to 2 years of professional experience in the following area(s):
  • Material Handling experience with a background in Logistics.
Required skills:
  • Knowledge in Warehousing and production inventory.
  • Ability to work different shifts and/or weekends.
  • SAP know-how.
  • Ability to approach problems in a methodical and logical manner.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
Preferred skills:
  • Knowledge of SAP Warehouse Management System and MRP Inventory Adjustments.

Contract Details:
Shift: Days 5am - 2pm
OT: Yes when mandatory
Weekends: Yes when mandatory
Contract Length: At least 4 years
Benefits / Vacation Days offered after 90 days
