Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Facilities & Maintenance employee to work out of our Milwaukee Service Center. This employee will be responsible for performing intermediate duties to repair and maintain machinery, equipment, building and facilities. The employee will assist with completion of work orders with use of basic maintenance techniques including mechanical repair, plumbing, welding, heating, air conditioning, carpentry, and with additional knowledge of minor electrical repair.
Essential Duties
· Complete work tasks by using required skills including, but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic computer data entry. Assist in maintaining maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
· Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting using, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
· Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational classes and/or cross training from coworkers.
· Read and interprets equipment manuals to assist with diagnosing and repair of all plant equipment. Following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
· Willingness to perform duties that may be under your skill to help ensure a well-maintained facility.
· Assist in the installation and relocation of existing machines and equipment, including leveling and aligning of geometry’s.
· Perform maintenance on the facilities, and the grounds, including but not limited to masonry, rough carpentry, plumbing, checking functionality of plant safety systems (e.g.) emergency lighting, Basic Knowledge of HVAC, snow removal such as shoveling stairs sidewalks.
· Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations of Toshiba’s Safety Policy.
· Use a variety of hand tools and power tools, such as electric meters in perfuming duties.
· Submit requests for additional parts and service.
· Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive and predictive maintenance requirements such as but not limited to motors, pneumatic machine tools, conveyor systems, and production machines.
· CNC machine tool repair a plus not required experience
Education and Required Experience
· Requires High school/ GED and one to three years of trades training or equivalent experience
· Three + years of related maintenance experience
· Certifiable for Fork Truck operation.
- Able to work at altitudes of 100ft. maximum.
- Trainable to operate a boom lift and scissor lift.
- Ability to work independently.

The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision and Ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee frequently is required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is occasionally exposed to work in high, precarious places, and risk of shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme heat, extreme cold and wet, humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is frequently loud.
