JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for maintaining the overall operation of the maintenance department and the appearance and working order of the hotel.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Order supplies, turn over invoices, purchase orders and statements to General Manager.
  • Inspect guest rooms.
  • Maintain the hotel grounds and building exteriors on a daily, weekly, monthly and seasonal basis.
  • Develop and maintain Maintenance Department programs to assure that the quality criteria are met.
  • Ensure routine preventative maintenance on laundry equipment, heating and air conditioning units, ice machines, fire extinguishers, fire/smoke alarms, lawn sprinklers, lawn equipment, exercise equipment and plumbing are performed as required by the manufacturer and in accordance with the warranty specifications.
  • Coordinate with other departments to fulfill guest special requests.
  • Assist the General Manager in resolving guest complaints concerning the Maintenance Department.
  • Educate department personnel on emergency procedures and safety precautions.
  • Educate appropriate staff on basic maintenance procedures to maintain high quality guest service.
  • Maintain key control files and logs.
  • Maintain a work order assignment board and track completed/pending work orders. Follow-up on all incomplete work orders to inform the requesting guest or department of the status of their work order.
  • Communicate changes in room status to the front office.
  • Be available to respond to emergencies.
  • Establish and maintain preventative maintenance program in accordance with best methods and New Leaf Hospitality (NLH) quality assurance standards, to include all records and warranty tracking.
  • Ensures Quality Assurance Scores and Goals from franchise and NLH are met consistently.
  • Provide support and understanding of all department’s functions and duties.
  • Additional duties as assigned by superiors.

The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift/and or move up to 75 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $36,000.00 per year
