Highly reputable, fast growing construction company, in business for over twenty (20) years, is seeking a skilled mechanic, who is familiar with the construction industry. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring functionality and reliability of machines, engines, and mechanical systems, while adhering to all safety precautions on a regular basis.

Our ideal candidate will possess strong manual dexterity, great attention to detail, the ability to assemble, maintain, and repair machinery using small tools, electrical tools, diesels, and vehicles.

Essential responsibilities:

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Build and assemble machines and/or mechanical components according to requirements.

Inspect machines, engines, transmissions and run diagnostic tests to determine functionality issues.

Perform repairs, aiming for maximum reliability.

Trouble shoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner

Conduct thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment, and all component systems.

Always clean and apply lubricants to machinery components consistently.

Replenish fluids and components of engines and machinery.

Provide consultation(s) on correct maintenance and preventative measures to machine or vehicle users.

Undertake other duties as assigned (e.g. repair of hydraulic systems, painting vehicles etc.).

Maintain work logs and reports continuously.

Job and physical qualifications, skills, traits:

Proven experience as Mechanic.

High school diploma is preferred; Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is a definite plus

Valid certification (e.g ASE) is preferred.

Excellent knowledge of machinery, hydraulic, electrical, as well as all other systems.

Aptitude in using various hand tools (screwdrivers, hammers etc.) and precision measurement tools (e.g. calipers)

Ability to follow established procedures and practices, as well as read instructions, blueprints etc.

A strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines.

Strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities,
