Who You Are:

• Dependable/ reliable and can work independently with minimal supervision

• Adaptable/flexible - enjoys doing work that requires frequent shifts in direction

• Detail-oriented – highly focused on the details and quality of work

• Willing to learn with a minimum of 1 year of automotive experience (Dealership or Independent Repair shop)

• A team player and interact with managers and co-workers in a professional, courteous manner

• Can function effectively in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment

• Able to work with technology to diagnose issues with customer vehicles

Position Overview:

The Mobile Service Technician will be dispatched out to customer's home/work to perform basic care and maintenance, including changing oil, checking fluid levels, and rotating tires. Repair or replace worn parts, such as brake pads, wheel bearings, and sensors. Perform repairs to manufacturer and customer specifications. Explain automotive problems and repairs to clients.

This position will require walking and standing for long periods and bending, twisting, kneeling, crouching, squatting, laying on the ground and reaching to perform work duties. You may be required to lift or carry materials weighing up to 20 - 100 pounds. Also, this position requires willingness to work in diverse weather conditions.

Essential Functions:

• Document all work performed and recommended on the assigned repair order

• Perform accurate and efficient repairs

• Communicate with the Service Manager when additional work is needed or if repairs cannot be performed within the agreed time

• Conduct road tests to determine the work required and to confirm work was accurately completed

• Perform all levels of diagnosis and repair on vehicles

• Perform all levels of preventive/routine maintenance services

• Utilize product and technical training as assigned by the manufacturer and management

• Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs and schools to continuously expand your knowledge of new technology

• Maintain technician proficiency as specified by Groove Auto standards

• Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the Company's Values in all customer interactions, co-workers, and vendors

Requirements:

• Previous (1-2 years) of automotive technician experience

• At least 18 years of age

• Must possess a valid driver's license and have a favorable motor vehicle record

• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen for illegal substances

• Authorized to work in the United States
