Golfballs.com started in 1995 as the first e-commerce business in Louisiana, we have grown from one that collected used golf balls from golf course ponds into one of the leading golf Internet retailers on the web. Our focus is, and will continue to be, centered on customized golf products. Our in-house printing and embroidery department allows us to provide unique golf products to our large customer base, with undisputed quality, turnaround time and customer service.

Golfballs.com is seeking a Network Engineer to join our growing team. The Network Engineer will support our internal and cloud-based infrastructure providing expertise in networking and security standards.

Company Goals

We are in the process of rewriting many legacy applications utilizing newer technologies that can be ported over to other industries. We currently use our proprietary software to facilitate custom decoration of numerous product types and shipping of thousands of orders a day.

Expectations

• Desire to learn new technologies and apply them where appropriate
• Participate in group discussions with unique ways to solve problems
• Excellent communication
• Daily scrum and alignment meetings with a cooperative team (feedback, collaboration)
• Perform software updates to maintain security posture
• Monitor, respond, and report on security logs and incidents for critical systems.
• Participate in vulnerability testing.
• Configure, monitor, and provide support for network appliances.
• Provide support for exchange and active directory (Office 365)
• Manage DNS and SSL certificates
• Manage Routers and VPN’s

Looking for someone with experience or a desire to learn:

• Microsoft 365/Exchange hybrid environment
• Active Directory
• VLAN design
• Networking and security fundamentals

• Excellent judgment and communication skills.
• Ability to function effectively in a team environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• Networking and Security credentials such as CISSP, CEH, CCNP, or equivalent
