KEY OBJECTIVE(S)
The main purpose of the Parking and Transportation Attendant is:

• To be responsible for monitoring and reporting on field conditions at all transportation locations (Parking, Taxi, Bus, Valet Areas, For-Hire-Vehicle Areas) during events held at the Meadowlands sports complex.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure customer wait times at Valet Areas are not excessive
• Provide routine troubleshooting of PARCS equipment (Fix paper jams, load tickets, etc.)
• Inspect all Pay-on-foot devices, ensure they are operational and receipt ticket stocked
• Inspect all areas of parking decks, stairwells, and report issues to Manager on Duty
• Provide Customer Assists throughout site (Jump Starts, Tire Inflates, etc.)
• Report any incidents to appropriate party (AD Security, Transportation Management)
• Monitor traffic conditions within AD site and report any issues to Transportation Management
• Notify management of any traffic conditions in and around site that may impact operation
• Respond to assist customers with any reported entry or exit issues
• Assist Manager on Duty with any lot, garage, lane and roadway closures
• Retrieve all used parking tickets from exit devices end of day
• May be required to respond to Motor Vehicle Accidents/Tows and write Incident Report
• Mandatory work during irregular operations such as snow/weather/event
• Involved in snow removal operations during snow events
• Mandatory work on NFL and other major Metlife event days
• Complete Shift Report Logs end of shift and/or after an incident
• Responsible to fuel assigned Transportation Unit Vehicles and maintain general cleanliness/appearance of vehicles
• May be asked to assist AD Maintenance with general clean-up of respective transportation areas (Parking Decks, Lots, Taxi, FHV Areas, Bus Stops)
• This role is a field operations position with 95% outdoor, heavy manual labor.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in transportation, traffic, and parking operations a plus
• Possess excellent customer service skills; outgoing and enthusiastic personality
• Demonstrate exceptional oral and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills, MS Word/Excel email communications
• Ability to deal with irate customers and resolve customer issues and/or complaints
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced working environment
• Valid driver’s license
• Must be available to work nights, holidays, and most weekends as we are a heavy weekend centric business
• Stand/move about – Frequently 50-75%
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
• Occasional stooping, crouching
• Occasional reaching at or below shoulder level
• Pushing/Pulling:
• Up to 30lbs – Occasional
