Position Summary
We are seeking a Production Scheduler to work out of our Milwaukee Service Center. The Production Scheduler will create and oversee sales order schedules. In this role, you will be collaborating with sales, purchasing, engineering, operations, and project managers to establish and execute on time deliveries. The role maintains the overall shop schedule and loading lists for all major operations carried out at the Milwaukee Service Center (MSC).
Essential Duties
- Works in close collaboration with shop management and project managers
- Verify accuracy of delivery schedules and report delivery schedule variances to all stakeholders
- Maintain resource loading charts and communicate capacity issues and proposes solutions to conflicts
- Communicates to sales and project managers schedule impacts due to emergent work and new orders entering the workflow
- Work with shop management to analyze capacity to determine outsourcing decisions.
- Work closely with the production scheduler to incorporate new parts delivery into the project schedules
- Collaborates with engineering to expedite engineering activities
- Collaborates with Quality Control to expedite inspection and NDE activities
- Serve as a back-up to the production scheduler
- Pull data related to orders and develop reports to support future quoting efforts
- Communicate changes in production lead times based on process/product
- Be the primary contact for data requests related to MSC parts operations
- Be a team member in process improvement efforts throughout the organization
- Be a team member in facility improvements and organizational improvements
Education and Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, operations management, supply chain or similar discipline combined with at least two years of related experience OR at least 5 years in manufacturing role with project /scheduling responsibilities.
- Proficient at using ERP systems and MS Office products
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrate a collaborative relationship across departments
- Must have blueprint reading experience, strong math skill and problem-solving abilities.
- Must be a team leader capable of leading the team to a common goal/objective.
- Must be comfortable with changing priorities and last-minute adjustments to schedules
Preferred
- Experience using the Oracle ERP
- Experience in shop scheduling
- Experience in a service environment
- Experience in the power generation industry
Certifications and Licenses
- APICS certification in CPIM or CSCP a plus

The employee must be able to lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision and Ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
Work Environment
The majority of this work takes place in an office and the work environment is that of a typical office environment in a manufacturing setting where noise levels are usually moderate. Frequently the employee will interact with personnel in the plant where he/she may be exposed to higher noise levels.
