Job Description:

The New England Centenarian Study is a unique study of human exceptional longevity and it is the largest study of centenarians (people who live to 100 and older) in the world. We are seeking research assistants to primarily assist the study with recruitment and enrollment of centenarians and their children living throughout North America. This position requires a 1-year commitment though there is a possibility that the position will last for longer in which case additional responsibilities (and training) including tele-video and telephone-based data collection may be possible.

The RA may have the opportunity to participate in specific research projects within the study that are of interest to them and they will have the opportunity to analyze data, author and present results for national academic meetings as well as author papers for publication.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Recruits subjects to participate in the study by using methods such as creating and assembling large recruitment mailings, reaching out to senior living communities, etc.

2. Conducts the enrollment of study participants, including explaining research procedures, and obtaining informed consent of study participants.

3. Schedules appointments of study participants; conducts reminder phone calls and mailings.

Required Skills:

Bachelor's degree and 0-12 months of work experience required.

Experience with MS Office programs. Experience with REDCap and R is a plus.

Prior experience in community outreach and/or participant recruitment is preferred.

Pay: $22.00 per hour
