We are hiring a Resident Ambassador to join our team at Marlborough Hills Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Massachusetts!
Full-Time 9a-5p (every other weekend required)

PURPOSE OF YOUR POSITION:
The primary purpose of your job position is to be an advocate for the residents. To provide high level customer service to our clients through companionship and engagement in meaningful individualized leisure pursuits while providing safety reminders, supervision, assisting with everyday tasks when appropriate and non-clinical psychosocial support/companionship. To ensure that resident concerns are brought to the appropriate department for quick and timely resolution.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actions.
  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
  • Must possess the ability and willingness to work harmoniously with professional and nonprofessional personnel.
  • Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents.
  • Must be willing to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing practices.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively to appropriate personnel regarding emergency situations and resident concerns.
  • Must have knowledge of facility privacy practices and ensure residents’ health information is protected (HIPPA).
  • Must possess the ability and motivation to be a champion and advocate for our clients.
  • Must provide excellent customer service skills and possess the ability to actively engage residents in leisure interests.
  • Schedule 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and every other weekend coverage

EXPERIENCE:
Must have at least one (1) year of being a companion or similar role. Experience in the field of customer service is preferred. High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
