Prometeia, one of Europe's leading consulting companies with a well-established background in economic analysis and research, is looking for a resource to join its Economic Analysis and Forecasting team. The team carries out its activities in the following areas:
- Macroeconomic analysis and forecasting with reference to the Italian and international economy, at a cyclical level and over the long term
- Construction of proprietary econometric models, from large structural models for the global economy and the Italian economy, to the multicountry Overlapping Generation (OLG) model, to the DSGE model for the Italian economy, to the Integrated Assesment Model for climate scenarios
- Construction of customised models and scenario production;
- Use of the most advanced statistical/econometric and computational techniques for data analysis, also for the purpose of economic analysis
- Analysis and modelling of individual data (households, enterprises, labour market) for the assessment of income distribution and the evaluation of the effects of economic policies.
MAIN TASKS:
- Refinement and development of the macroeconomic and sectoral component of the IAM (Integrated Assessment Model) for analysing climate scenarios already present in Prometeia
- Realisation of climate transition economic scenarios, according to the NGFS approach
- Drafting of reports describing the scenarios
- Writing of scientific papers on model characteristics and other aspects of the analysis and research work conducted
- Presentations to clients/academia of the results of the conducted analyses
- Use of software to support the preparation of model construction/simulation
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- PhD or postgraduate specialisation in economic/financial subjects
- PhD thesis or studies in structural modelling (DSGE and/or general economic equilibrium models, GTAP)
- Experience in climate change and climate transition modelling preferred
- Knowledge of structural programming languages (Matlab or Python, Gams, etc.)
- Excellent knowledge of the English language

- Excellent analytical skills
