Role Purpose

As part of the Management Accounting Team, you will be trained to become responsible for Vodafone Business Monthly Closing, including figures, processes and systems.
The Job opportunity implies a defined career path that will bring you from a Senior Financial Analyst role to a Coordinator one.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership

• Lead Vodafone Business Monthly Closure process, performing the recognition and accrual of revenues and variable costs.
• Ensure analysis of details Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow, commenting main facts and variances vs Budget/Forecast/Previous periods.
• Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of Balance Sheet Accounts and SOX controls.
• Reference to other teams for Vodafone Business unit figures and financial processes
• Provide, together with the commercial business unit, IT requirements to ensure management information systems upgrade, according to all relevant drivers (i.e. business and market evolution, law requirements, new product design, Vodafone Group requests).
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness in existing processes.
• Coordinate two resources

Core competencies, knowledge and experience

• Excellent data management, analytics and data modelling skills
• Familiarity with complex IT systems and processes
• Previous experience in Month End Closure Financial Reporting process and in Controlling activities
• Fluent in Italian and English, written and spoken
• Proactivity and continuous improvement attitude
• Comfortable with ambiguity and problem-solving mindset
• Excellent Soft Skills such as: interpersonal, presentation, collaborative, leadership
• 5+ years’ experience in similar role
• 2-3 previous experience in an audit company
• Economics or Business Engineering degree

Must have technical / professional qualifications

• Knowledge of accounting rules (nice to have previous IFRS15 knowledge)
• Excellent knowledge of Excel and SAS/SQL/Power BI
