Mission of the Role
The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing high-quality services. We are looking for a brilliant and passionate Mongo DB Engineer, who will join Technogym to be responsible for innovative backend service products that are currently being developed, for a new era of wellness software entertainment. Duties will include developing outstanding backend services for millions of active users and directing software programming initiatives. You will be responsible for developing software applications including technical documentation, participating in new feature development, bug fixing, customizations, software support and technology upgrade projects, innovations, and simplification. We are looking for a sports and training-addicted person who wants to impact millions of passionate, with a software developer superpower. We are looking for the best-in-class software developer, backend services & DB passionate, who wants to make an impact at the global level in our industry. You will collaborate with the internal DevOps & R&D Team for the definition of the software architectures and their implementation by making the appropriate technology choices for the optimization in our projects.
Key Role Responsibilities
The role encompasses administration of and responsible for MongoDB database and will be responsible for ensuring the database performance, high availability, and security of clusters in MongoDB instances.
The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that database management policies, processes, and procedures are followed
He/Shewillberesponsibleforreviewingsystemdesignchangesto ensure they adhere to expected service standards and recommend changes to ensure maximum stability, availability, and efficiency of the supported applications.
He/She will be responsible for review system performances
The candidate should understand the application functionality, business logics and work with application stakeholders to understand the requirement and discuss with the new application features, and propose the right solutions based on his/her MongoDB strong knowledge
He must liaise closely and work in collaboration with the release management teams, Support teams, and act as DBA.
Install, deploy and manage MongoDB on physical and virtual machines
Create, configure and monitor large-scale, secure, Mongo DB sharded clusters
Support Mongo DB in high availability, multi-datacenter environment
Administer MongoDB Ops Manager monitoring, backups, and automation
Configure and monitor numerous MongoDB instances and replica sets
Automate routine tasks with your own scripts and open-source tools
Improve database backups and test recoverability regularly
Study the database needs of our applications and optimize them using MongoDB
Maintain database performance and capacity planning
Write documentation and collaborate with technical peers on line
All database administration tasks like backup, restore, SQL optimizations, provisioning infrastructure, setting up graphing, monitoring and alerting tools, replication
Performance tuning for high throughput
Architecting high availability servers
Requirements
Minimum 6 years of experience in large scale MongoDB technologies, Work experience in MongoDB enterprise, community, and cloud-based environments
Install, Deploy and Manage MongoDB on Physical, Virtual, AWSEC2 instances
Should have experience on MongoDB Active–Active sharding cluster setup with high availability
Should have experience on administrating MongoDB on Linux platform
Experience on MongoDB version upgrade, preferably from version 4.0 to 4.4, on production environment with a zero or very minimum application downtime, either with ops manager or custom script
Experience in building database monitoring using tools like App D, ELK, Grafana, etc.
Experience in performances analysis tools like Mtools
Good understanding and experience with MongoDB sharding and Disaster Recovery plan
Design and implement the backup strategy and BCP process across the MongoDB environments.
Review and understand the ongoing business reports and create new ad-hoc reports based on the requirement
Develop and maintain the database release process, support release team to automate the database release process
Good to have knowledge of database objects like MongoDB scripts, java scripts, functions, and other database objects
