The Senior Planner, a member of our Client Services department, is responsible for manufacturing engineering and accurate cost estimates of signage, décor and fixtures. They focus on transforming clients? brand concepts to reality while minimizing costs to manufacture and install. They collaborate with internal and external teams to execute project timelines and deliverables. A Senior Planner also trains, mentors, and reviews the work of Planners and Detailers.

This position works onsite at our corporate office and manufacturing facility in Eugene, Oregon. The standard work schedule is Monday-Friday 7:30am-4pm.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Estimate labor and calculate material requirements for in-house manufacturing.
  • Ensure engineering viability of products for manufacturing, packaging, shipping and installation.
  • Apply and maintain SOP and Best Practices for creating Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Routings in MRP software.
  • Apply and maintain SOP and Best Practices for various types of products and materials.
  • Perform job costing analysis to identify process, material and/or methodology changes to reduce production costs.
  • Value engineering of new or existing products.
  • Manage and maintain programs and products throughout their lifecycles in MRP.
  • Problem solve quickly during production and installation.
  • Train, mentor and review the work of Planners and Detailers.
  • Cross-departmental collaboration to promote alignment in manufacturing through installation.
  • Participate in Production and Install kickoff meetings.
  • Analyze architectural and design documentation to define scope of projects and parts.
  • Manage deadlines across multiple simultaneous projects.

  • Proficiency in MRP/ERP software (Made2Manage).

  • Ability to read shop drawings and architectural drawings.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Understanding of material properties and environmental/use applications.
  • Mathematical aptitude including statistical inference, practical mathematics, mathematical reasoning, and problem-solving techniques related to the engineering, construction and fabrication of décor furnishings and architectural design elements. Comprehensive command and application of algebra, geometry and trigonometry. Understanding of and proficiency in the principles of classical mechanics and physics.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Intermediate-level knowledge of construction/manufacturing methods, materials, and documentation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor?s in applicable engineering field preferred; HS diploma or GED equivalent
  • Five years of related experience in/with:
    • MRP/ERP software
    • AutoDesk Inventor or similar preferred
