We are looking for a Senior Software Developer Engineer who will be a part of the Mobility team for designing, implementing and maintaining microservices, consuming from streams or REST APIs and emit data to either a stream file system, the role is fully onsite based here in our office in Arzano Italy.

The new market trends have given a decisive acceleration to the market's demand for digitization and there is an increase of the demands of new services available on smartphones through Apps, capable of replacing physical credentials (smart cards and tickets), no longer in line with the changing needs of the users.

As our Senior Software Development Engineer, you’ll support HID’s success by:

• Be part of the team during the full lifecycle of source code, from implementation to testing to user acceptance to deployment
• Participate in agile meetings for planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and daily standups
• Write test-driven, maintainable code and follow industry standards and web development best practices
• Gather requirements and create technical specifications as needed
• Implement new features and maintain existing features of production pipeline
• Work with architects, project managers and other engineers to assure accurate timelines and deliverables
• Collaborate with colleagues to find elegant, long-term solutions as well as creative quick fixes to problems
• Document code and create high-level interaction diagrams
• Participate in on-call support rotation

What we will love about your background:

• Advanced Knowledge of Software Engineering best practices.
• Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows, Linux, etc.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Your Qualifications and Experience include:

• Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent
• 5 - 7 years of experience with at least one Cloud platform: AWS, Azure, Google, OpenStack, etc is preferred.
• Expertise with test-driven development in Java, c# and C++ or equivalent language
• Must be comfortable working on the Unix/Linux shell command line
• Demonstrate the ability to reduce complex ideas and problems into clear concepts and solutions
• Experience with relational databases
• Expertise with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
• Open to learning new languages

Preferred experience

• 5 - 7 years of experience in Cloud Native Applications
• 5 - 7 years of experience in Developing Applications using one or more technology stacks (Java, Javascript, etc)
• 5 - 7 years of experience in using SpringBoot, Hibernate, Java, JEE framework
• knowledge with full product lifecycle
• Advanced Experience with Git
• knowledge with Atlassian suite: Jira, Confluence, etc. is preferred
• Knowledge of project documentation management.
