Position Overview
The Solutions Architect will make high level decisions for technologically driven business development. A great architect has a strong technical background, rooted in time-tested best practices plus excellent interpersonal skills. They are experienced in designing multiple technology value streams and possess the ability to develop a unified vision for software characteristics and functions. The goal is to provide a framework for the development of our systems that will leverage technology to serve our business partners to unlock greater value.
Key Result Areas (KRAs)
Collaborate with product owners and other stakeholders to determine functional and non-functional requirements for new software or applications:

Lead the build of technology operational models and workflows for the business.

Proactively address a change in business requirements by leveraging existing systems and investments, and providing scalable options.

Support and maintain reference architecture, frameworks, and toolkits to drive adoption at scale.
-
Document best practices and create development resources that can be used by developers.
-
Maintain monitoring, reporting, diagnostic tools to ensure integrity of systems and while working towards self healing structures.

Introduce automation to replace manual processes.
Extend existing architecture standards; own the Business Capability Map and models and own the solution architecture scoping process:

Participate in strategic planning; creation and maintenance of standards, policies, and procedures.

Work closely with other architects to standardize integration policies and build the future roadmap.

Use documentation and mockup tools and methodologies to create representations for functions and user interface of desired product

Partner with operations team to architect and implement proof of concepts of technology.

Partner with DevOps teams and business analysts to clearly document and communicate architecture.
Provides subject matter knowledge, coordination, and communication for projects involving enterprise technology solutions, including defining scope, and ensuring deliverables are met:

Create RFIs/RFQs/RFPs and conduct reviews/assessments, make vendor recommendations.

Perform contract reviews and ensure risks are mitigated.

Evangelize best practices through whitepapers, presentations and sample code.

Leverage repeatable processes for project intake to include defined MVP, business use case, and deliverables.
Job Qualifications

5+ years of experience in an Enterprise Architecture position, required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or equivalent, preferred

Completion of 3 or more major software design and deployment projects

Strong understanding of software development cycles

Familiarity with various languages (C#, .NET, Java etc.)

Excellent knowledge of software and application design and architecture

Excellent knowledge of UML and other modeling methods
-
Familiarity with HTML/CSS, JavaScript and UI/UX design

“SAFe for Architects” Certification/TOGAF Certification/Six-Sigma Certification, preferred

Compensation:
$101,736.50 - $117,940.49
