That Dirty Dog is hiring a “Spaw Specialists,” full-time bathers/grooming assistant (part-time openings available). That Dirty Dog has an excellent reputation and extremely strong customer base, serving the Roswell and surrounding communities since 2005.

This full-time position will be approximately 32-40 hours a week, weekend availability is a must. Full-time schedule will be a combination of weekdays and weekends. Shifts generally run 9AM-5PM or 10AM-5PM.

Requirements & Specifications:

• Demonstration of skills through one or more working interviews
• Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license
• MUST provide professional references.
• Must have a proven track record of reliability and trustworthiness
• Must have open availability for the two weeks prior to both Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day
• This position is not open to those seeking a seasonal job only

Job Description for “Spaw Specialist” (Dog Bather/Grooming Assistant):

• Follows all safety precautions during handling of dogs and execution of related duties
• Bathes dogs using methods and techniques taught by management and grooming staff
• Dries dogs using methods and techniques taught by management and grooming staff
• Clips and grinds toe nails
• Cleans ears and brushes teeth
• Externally expresses anal glands
• Focuses on quality service by executing quality and customer service standards as directed by manager
• Maintains cleanliness and safety of facility by cleaning tubs, mopping floors, laundering towels, cleaning crates and cages, disinfecting facility and grooming equipment, and additional activities as required
• Exhibits confidence and compassion when handling dogs, whether on a leash, in a tub or in a dry room
• Possesses a calm and cheerful demeanor
• Exhibits a true love of animals through care and kindness shown to each animal in his/her care
• Contributes to closing duties (deep cleaning of facility and equipment)
• Performing other duties as assigned

Other Desired Skills:

• Customer service/engagement
• Front desk/receptionist experience is a plus but not required

Compensation: starts at $12.00/hour + tips (held until proof of proficiency in above skills, usually about 30 days)

• Example: Our full-time bathers’ tips average $6,118.01 (before taxes, excluding cash tips) over a 6-month period (per bather) or $987.51 a month. Additionally, our part-time bathers’ tips average $3,676.40 over a 6-month period or $553.97 a month.
