Position Summary
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help build a new software engineering team. The Senior Software Engineer will provide hands-on leadership in designing, implementing, and deploying software applications and supporting IT infrastructure. They will be able to work independently and communicate effectively with stakeholders. They will work with engineering leadership to identify best practices, and to evaluate and select development tools and systems.
This position is 100% remote.
Education, Experience and Licensure
- 5+ years software development experience
- Experience in a Linux environment
- Experience developing software using Python
- Experience developing browser-based user interfaces
- Experience working with REST API's
- Experience writing and maintaining test suites (including unit tests)
- Solid understanding of Distributed Version Control Systems (e.g., git)
Preferred Experience
- Experience with containers
- Experience with SQL databases
- Experience developing data pipelines
- Experience with healthcare data
