We're building real-time vision based system to automate most retail operations to provide customers with a frictionless checkout experience. Our systems use various machine learning techniques and are trained on large-scale retail user data to solve challenges like 3d human pose estimation, multi-view people tracking and action recognition etc. We build solutions to elevate retail customer experience, improve efficiency, and reduce costs in the world of retail. We train our models on large datasets of multi-camera perspective images which enables us to build and experiment with a huge diversity of approaches. We are a mix of researchers and production engineers from all kinds of backgrounds, and find that a diversity of perspective helps the problem solving process. You'll be designing, building and deploying machine learning solutions into production.

This is a FULL-TIME remote role located anywhere in the EU.

What you'll do here:

  • Build ML workflows for models ranging from pose estimation to action recognition from large scale retail user data

  • Automate model training and release workflows and build services around ML inference and model deployment for runtime processing

  • Work closely with Data Engineers to build pipelines that help in continuously improving models deployed in production and staging

  • Data modeling to support machine learning model training and offline, batch inference workflows

  • Work closely with machine learning engineers and data scientists to scale model training and explore new data sources and model features

  • Explore new and innovative ways to scale autonomous checkout to 1000 stores

Who you are:

  • You have a strong engineering background with experience in data infrastructure and machine learning.

  • You have experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or in a similar role

  • You have experience applying Machine Learning techniques for Computer Vision applications

  • You have experience working with large scale image and video data and building video data pipelines

  • You have experience with cloud based data pipelines optimized for Machine Learning applications

  • You have experience with large scale object-based storage in google cloud or AWS

  • You are familiar with workflow management platforms like Airflow

  • You are an expert with Python, Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as code (e.g. terraform).

  • You have experience with ML frameworks like PyTorch and/or Tensorflow
