**Hiring for summer camp 2023!** **Located in Bridgehampton, NY**

iCAMP in the Hamptons is looking for passionates art and science teachers and tutors for our 2023 summer camp season.

Our teachers are responsible for creating a dynamic, engaging experience for our summer campers! This includes fostering a fun and safe environment while helping campers learn about new technology and think creatively.

Teachers will develop and facilitate their own lessons for multiple age groups. In addition to creating an engaging learning environment, teachers are responsible for supervising campers, leading games and activities, and maintaining a safe atmosphere while on duty.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

General:

• Plan and participate in indoor and outdoor activities for summer campers
• Hours are 8:00am - 3:30pm
• Camp runs from June 12 - September 1. Teachers may choose to work part of the summer if unable to commit to all of the weeks. However, they must be able to provide all of their available weeks upon hiring.

Instructional:

• Prepare lesson plans, and teach a class with an average of 8 - 12 campers
• Ensure all campers are meeting set curriculum goals
• Apply behavior management techniques to enforce rules and safety regulations

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

At our summer camp, the ideal candidate will be an experienced teacher or tutor with 3+ years professional experience. In addition, the candidate must demonstrate flexibility, energy, positivity, leadership abilities, and strong communication skills. A background working with kids, teens, or at summer camp is highly recommended.

Teachers / tutors should have experience developing lessons and be enthusiastic about education. Teacher salaries are competitive and based on experience. Please note that this is a day camp, so housing is not included.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
