We are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Trainer/Trusted Tester to support our client at the Department of Homeland Security.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of the Chief Security Officer (OCSO) is managed by the Chief Security Officer (CSO) and staff, which consists of a Chief, Deputy Chief, and four (4) primary Directors, who are responsible for each of the following main portfolios: Executive Operations (EO), Enterprise Security Operations and Support (ESOS), Threat Management Operations (TMO), and DHS HQ Support (HQS).
OCSO/ESOSs National Security Services Division (NSSD) has a mission to provide the Department with the capability of a strategic direction for DHS's Information, Personnel, Industrial, and Physical security programs, while conducting operational activities for accreditation of secure classified storage facilities and contract security specifications. NSSD manages three principal area of focus: Industrial Security Program (ISP), Information Security, Personnel Security Program Management Branch (IPSP), and Physical Security & Technical Oversight (PSTO). The OCSO, Compliance, Standards and Training Division (CS&TD), Security Compliance and Governance Program is the primary means through which OCSO executes oversight of enterprise security programs, activities, and functions to ensure they comply with DHS and national-level security policies. The program is responsible for ensuring DHSs security programs are efficient and effective, and that adequate practices are in place for the protection of DHSs personnel, property, information, and resources.
Position Responsibilities:

• Provide accessibility oversight in the UI planning and design process of training materials and curriculum related to ICAM and implementation of ICAM products and services.
• Identify the Section 508 standards applicable for DHS applications.
• Evaluate software, web, and mobile application user interfaces (UI) for conformance to the Revised Section 508 standards utilizing approved/recommended Trusted Tester tools.
• Install and use web accessibility test tools such as Accessible Name and Description Inspector (ANDI) and Accessibility Compliance Reporting Tool (ACRT).
• Maintain awareness of Section 508 guidance and direction from Federal sources, such as Section508.gov
