WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
Registered Nurse to provide telephone triage to patients through the Centralized Follow-Up department. The Triage Nurse is responsible for answering questions from patients about lab results STIs, contraception, following up on abnormal lab results and referrals. The Triage nurse communicates with patients and staff in a manner consistent with clinical protocol and the organization's mission and values. They perform audits in electronic health records as requested by the Director of Quality Management.

This is a hybrid position which has the flexibility to be remote.
Training will be a combination of remote work and in-office training (Likely New Haven, CT) Once fully trained, can be a hybrid or remote schedule.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Under the direct supervision of an APRN, CNM, PA or MD appropriately triages telephone calls and portal messages from patients, manages lab results (normal and abnormal), follow up and referrals based on PPSNE Medical Protocols and Centralized Follow-up Policy and Procedures
2. Performs audits in electronic health records as requested by the Director of Quality Management
3. Demonstrate ongoing proficiency in electronic practice management systems and electronic health records
4. Demonstrate proficiency in health center policies, procedures and practices
5. Provides a rich conduit of information and ideas between sites and departments
6. Participates in ongoing feedback with colleagues, customers and processes
7. Incorporates customer satisfaction into all aspects of the work
8. Demonstrates flexibility and teamwork; understands the interaction between this position and others with whom the position works directly and indirectly
Ensures that interactions incorporate PPSNE values of integrity, partnership, customer focus, communication and quality
9. Supports the agency’s mission and all of the reproductive health services offered including family planning services, women’s health screenings, testing and treatment of STI’s, birth control methods and abortion services
10. Supports efforts of the agency’s diversity program to provide services that are culturally and linguistically competent; takes the initiative to develop own awareness and knowledge of diversity matters
11. Works well with volunteers and interns to achieve the agency’s mission
12. May supervise interns and volunteers
REQUIREMENTS:
Graduation from a recognized school of nursing
Ability to work remotely part time
Current state license
CPR certificate of completion
Reproductive health care or primary care experience highly desirable
Excellent decision-making abilities both collaboratively and independently
Demonstrated project management skills, including excellent follow through for multiple projects at multiple locations, ability to work independently as needed
Excellent customer service skills; ability to provide quality services to meet the individual needs of patients.
Superb attention to detail and ability to follow processes and procedures from beginning to end within established timelines.
Ability to utilize data to inform the decision-making process
Desire to work as part of an interdisciplinary team to meet the needs of patients.

Salary Range*: Min $60,114 Mid $75,141 Max $93,927
