Overview /Objective

The Vice President of IT Business Services is the owner and accountable leader for the relationships, services and technology that supports the corporate business functions of the NFL. This includes systems that are considered enterprise class for traditional business functions including but not limited to; Finance, Human Resources, Service Desk, Quality Assurance, and ITIL processes within and provided by IT to enterprise business units (Change, Asset, Request, Incident…). The NFL seeks a creative and highly communicative business technology leader who has been successful in creating and maintaining customer focused and business efficient IT service teams. Strategic planning, resource management, and effective prioritization for a broad scope and lean internal team are essential to this role. The successful candidate is a self-assured leader who can develop, execute, and maintain technology and services that use a combination of internal/external resources, cloud platforms, and business automation with a deliberate focus on user experience and customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a successful customer service focused IT brand that strives to continuously improve.
    • Implements and uses metrics to identify improvement opportunities and monitor performance success, evolves metrics with the changing technology landscape and needs of the business.
  • Implements and maintains a multi-resource (internal/external staffing) and business efficient IT service delivery program.
    • Owns managed service vendor relationships within immediate scope. A senior advisor and contributor to all managed service business terms within NFL IT.
  • Owner and executor of multi-year road maps for people, process, and technology of corporate and back-office functions (ERP, HCM, Asset, business automation, Service, Request, Change and Incident systems)
    • Leads a team responsible and accountable for systems acquisition (RFP/RFI, contracts), implementation, management, support, documentation, training, communications, resilience, and integration within scope.
    • Leads a team responsible and accountable for internal/external development, quality assurance, configuration, and support within scope.
  • Accountable for and maintains a team that creates inclusive, transparent, and highly connected business relationships with internal customers and external partners. Maintains extensive documentation and delivers updates and reporting to IT and executive leadership with meaningful metrics and insights on scope of work and services.

Required Qualifications

  • 12+ years leading highly successful enterprise and business application teams delivering systems for corporate finance and HR.
  • 12+ years building and leading highly successful customer focused IT service organizations.
  • 12+ years leading business relationships between IT and corporate business units.
  • 12+ years leading and managing technology service/help desks
  • Advanced experience and team leadership with PAS and SAS cloud solutions. Including Oracle Cloud, Microsoft.
  • Advanced experience and team leadership with service delivery platforms such as Service Now.
  • Advanced experience and skill determining, implementing, managing to and reporting on SLA, SLO and performance metrics for both internal and external programs.
  • Advanced experience leading business application development teams
  • Advanced experience leading and managing QA as a shared enterprise service
  • Advanced experience owning and managing an enterprise IT budget to meet the strategic priorities of the business.

Preferred Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent professional or military experience.

• Enterprise contract review and negotiation experience.

• Proven ability to recruit and retain talent

• Expertise in utilizing project, resource, and task management software

Salary / Pay Range

This job posting contains a pay range, which represents the range of salaries or hourly rates that the NFL believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting that it might be willing to pay for the posted job in the location(s) specified. The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.

Terms / Expected Hours of Work

  • NFL employees are required to work 40 hours per week.
  • FLSA exempt.
