ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

British American Tobacco Italy is seeking a passioned Warehouse Executive to join its Operations department in Bologna. This role is a great opportunity work in a multi-cultural, open environment.

As a Warehouse Executive in our department, you will ensure that BAT Policy (local & global) and Italian law related to the Warehouse and Finish Goods is applied. You will correct and precisely use of BAT system to ensure a proper stock movement (eg. good receipt/issue, eAD, packing list, data destined to the State Monopoly, stock policy, inventory, etc…) including financial reporting (ie stock value, write-off analysis, destruction cost, 3rd parties cost analysis, etc…)

As a Warehouse Executive you will be in charge of building/maintaining good relations with public authorities (example State Monopoly inspector, fire brigade, State Police, etc), end market and above market teams.

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

  • Operation/Professional/Business
  • Manage trucks Loading / Unloading activity related to the finish goods including document like eAD, packing list, Picking, etc.
  • Report all the information related the goods movement in the SAP tool and other mandatory IT tool
  • Ensure the application of FIFO
  • Ensure that traceability rules are implemented for enhancing the efficiency of warehouses administration
  • Coordinate 3rd party teams to ensure correct record of finish goods, missing and/or damage goods
  • Follow the administration task related to the warehouse
  • Ensuring the finished good and/or damage goods are stored according to BAT guideline
  • Support the Warehouse Mng in ensuring that the work schedules are observed on time in full
  • Coordinate day by day activities supporting the Warehouse Mng in organizing a proper staff based on planned workload
  • Support the regular Stock Analysis including special check in case of missing / damaged finish goods
  • Provide to line manager timely information on possible criticality/delay related the finish goods arrival/shipment and /or issue on eCOMMERCE orders.
  • Proactively collect information from different data sources and assembly/combine them to produce value added analysis in response to business or line manager needs
  • Perform finish goods the quality check on trucks and goods stored in the warehouse
  • On a daily base verify that physical stock is aligned to the logical stock in the system
  • Support the formal stock count (as per BAT procedure) with 3rd parties
  • Act as a key user su support any IT system, Change Request, UAT to avoid business disruption

  • Managing, motivating, training and developing 3rd party’s supplier in order to ensure that the objectives of the Warehouse department are reached.
  • Guarantee that there are viable and efficient control systems in order to maximize the accuracy of the storing levels in the warehouses.
  • Coordinating inventory checks in order to identify inconsistencies between the physical stocks and the stocks recorded in SAP;
  • Assuring that Warehouse guideline are applied in order to guarantee the department's priorities and the daily activities to reach the planned objectives
  • Provide to Warehouse mng / HQ if needed periodically a 3rd parties performance indicators report in order to ensure that the targets were reached
  • Effective relationship with internal customers/supplier like distributor, supplier, HQ in Rome (Supply Chain, Marketing, eCOM, Finance, Tax, etc), Factory, State Monopoly, Fire Brigade, State Police etc …

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • At least 2 years’ experience as manager in Stores or Logistics Areas.
  • Distributions & Warehouse and team management experience
  • Logistics, administrative/finance and Transport’s documentations know how
  • Solid knowledge of goods storing/handling techniques.
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills;
  • Initiative and problem-solving skills;
  • Attention to details;
  • Ability to promote the culture of continuous improvement
  • Ability to make/recommend timely decisions
  • Be assertive and willing to escalate issue if necessary
  • A commitment to the aims and values of BAT;
  • Proficiency in MS Office(in particular as Excel user); database applications, SAP and ad-Hoc IT tools & Databases
  • Fluency in Italian and English language.
