Lead a defined area of technical expertise, with moderate technical complexity.- Lead mechanical design engineering in a technical team.
- Have on holistic view on deliverables from other interfaces to secure quality & readiness before release. Spread knowledge and develop competence within the team.
- Develop and manage networking across the organization and provide inputs to the project pre-requisites based on the component history.
Requirements:
Candidate MUST have Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering (or related field)- Candidate MUST have product development experience (Heavy duty trucks or Automotive preferred)
- Candidate MUST have PTC CREO Parametric, CREO view experience (sheetmetal, castings, piping preferred)
- Good understanding and working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), Product Data management (PDM) experience with OEM preferred (any previous VOLVO experience is excellent).
- Able to interpret results from finite element analysis (FEA - Structural, Fatigue analysis) to include the recommendation for design releases
- This position will support development & maintenance of Chassis components such as battery boxes, fuel tanks, fuel lines, DEF system, cab steps, fifth wheels.
