Job Description:

Establish and maintain the PA & Safety programme aimed to guarantee the failure-proofing missions by ensuring that the materials, mechanical parts, processes and electrical components fit for purpose of the entire life of the missions/product.

Main activities (list of the main activities to perform the job) 

Establishing the PA&S requirements baseline and producing the relevant documentation in compliance with the ECSS Product Assurance and Safety standards for the assigned programs; 

Product and Quality assurance with the following main tasks and responsibilities:

o Management and control of PA tasks and interface with the PA disciplines experts

o Progress reporting for PA topics o Management of audits, incoming inspections and critical items

o Management and treatment of NCRs, waivers, deviations and alerts

o Support and contribution to risk management process

o Support to documentation and data control, quality records and CADM o Management of Suppliers in terms of PA requirements and topics

o Interface with Customers for PA matters

o Preparation, maintenance and implementation of PA plans

o Participation and contribution to major design (e.g. PDR, CDR, QR) and production (e.g. MRR, DRB) reviews o Participation, management and contribution to the main program boards such as NRB, CCB, PCB, MPCB

o Participation, support and monitoring of AIT/AIV activities J

o Execution of KIPs and MIPs;  Selection, procurement, monitoring and qualification of EEE parts and controlling implementation of applicable requirements; 

M&P topics. Contribution to the selection of the technology solutions, attending of M&P reviews, preparation of all M&P documentation e.g. Process Verification Plans and Reports, Mounting verification plans, Qualification Plan and Reports, Declared Materials List, Declared Processes List, Manufacturing Flow charts, PFMEA, PCB definition Dossiers. 

Perform RAMS analyses (including number of spare calculations, redundancies definition), interacting with other disciplines in order to contribute to the selection of reliable and safe solutions. Competences Education/Training: 

Master’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent, preferably in aerospace, electronics or telecommunication domains 

Qualified Certificates for ECSS-Q-ST-70-08, ECSSQ-ST-70-28, ECSS-Q-ST-70-38, ECSS-Q-ST-70-26 and ECSS-Q-ST-70-18  Good knowledge of ECSS framework especially Q family 

Knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or EN 9100 would be an asset Experience: 

At least 5 years of professional relevant experience in aerospace field Tool or product requirements:  Knowledge of common tools used for RAMS analysis 

Knowledge of NCR management tools (e.g. NCTS, NC-CAPA, Eclipse etc..) Languages:  Fluent in English Behaviours: 
