Department Overview:
This position is responsible for administrative and educational research activities related to the vascular Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (VEDs) project at OHSU. This person will maintain all regulatory requirements for the project, enroll and consent patients in the research study, collect and maintain data and project databases, and coordinate fundraising activities. This person will work with clinicians on patient and medical education on VEDS.
Function/Duties of Position:
  • Clinical Research Coordination: Subject screening and recruitment, determines subject eligibility and obtains informed consent when require. Schedule and complete study appointments with subjects based on study protocol.
  • IRB Study Maintenance
  • Database Management: accurate, efficient, data accrual and documentation
  • Fundraising for VEDS project
  • Patient education, epic templates, website development
  • Website development and maintenance
  • Supporting OHSU Research Regulation & Policies Compliance
  • Other Research Related Tasks Assigned: Assisting with other Department of Surgery research activity when needed
Required Qualifications:
Education:
  • Master's in relevant field AND 1 year of relevant experience OR
  • Equivalent combination of training and experience.
Experience:
  • Requires experience in patient and medical education of Vascular Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, fundraising, and website development.
Job Related Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (Competencies):
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize work demands. Excellent oral and written communication skills; meticulous detail to data and study procedures; ability to prioritize work demands and trouble shoot; ability to work independently in a multi-task collaborative environment. Proficient knowledge of MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel; Working knowledge of electronic medical records (Epic).
