Job Summary

We are looking for world-class mmWave/RFIC system applications/validation engineers to work with our experienced design team to implement state of the art mmWave broadband communications ICs.

If you have mmWave RFIC bench validation and system application expertise, track record of delivering high volume RFIC products, passion for innovation, desire to challenge yourself and want to put your creativity at work, this is a unique opportunity to join the leader in consumer and automotive semiconductors.

Job Qualifications

  • MSEE with 15+ years of experience in validation of RFIC/mmWave transceiver products
  • Proven track record of developing high volume RFIC products from concept to production
  • Hands-on experience with lab equipment such oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters, network analyzers, BERTs and spectrum analyzers
  • Solid knowledge of mmWave signal integrity concepts
  • Solid knowledge of mmWave PCB design and simulation techniques
  • Solid experience with mmWave wafer probing techniques and probe card design
  • Proficiency with programming and scripting languages such as a Python, LabView and MATLAB and simulation software such as ADS, HFSS
  • Good problem-solving skills to resolve silicon and system application issues
  • Prior experience in conducting technical feasibility and system prototyping for new applications
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, ability to work with cross-functional teams and can-do attitude

Key responsibilities

  • Perform bench and system application validation of mmWave transceiver products to guarantee performance to datasheet parameters
  • Develop bench validation test plans based on design specifications
  • Prepare system and application test plans and perform system level testing
  • Specify PCB design requirements for bench validation boards
  • Perform signal integrity, RF and EM simulations for the board designs
  • Develop automation scripts to improve efficiency of bench validation
  • Develop functional test software for validation and application testing tasks
  • Debug silicon issues and test setup related issues
  • Perform data analysis and generate reports to summarize test results
  • Construct measurement RF test beds and conduct spectral compliance and regulatory testing at system application
  • Work effectively on a cross functional team with analog/digital design engineers, system architects and marketing team
  • Actively engage and drive (written and oral) communication with partners and customers
