Position Summary

Summary:
The Sr. Electrician demonstrates commitment to the vision, mission and goals of Lakeland Regional Health, modeling our values and culture of caring. This position is responsible and accountable for providing superior outstanding patient, customer, and associate care by providing, and performing a variety of skilled maintenance duties. Those duties include inspection, repair and preventive maintenance services to all industrial electrical equipment; with working knowledge of systems, equipment and components throughout the physical environment.

  • Standard Work: Sr. Electrician
  • Must interact with patients, visitors, doctors and LRH associates in a professional and respectful manner. Must be able to immediately address issues and appropriately communicate the work that will need to be completed or has been completed.
  • Must be lead Sr. Electrician to ensure maintenance and testing of all generators which includes documentation and coordinating repairs.
  • Must attend meetings and be lead Sr. electrician for advice, planning, and implementation of projects requiring power.
  • Must be lead Sr. Electrician on all electrical validation and documentation reporting up to Engineering leadership.
  • Installation of electrical components and equipment on both commercial and industrial projects.
  • Must inspect and test facility components for proper operation, and working condition as indicated in preventive maintenance (PM) procedures.
  • Must complete assigned PM’s by their due date, and maintain, and complete the proper documentation associated with those PM’s.
  • Must perform routine electrical maintenance, re-lamping, ballast replacements, and replacement or alteration of circuit wiring, switches, and mechanisms.
  • Must perform any other duties as assigned to fulfill basic patient, and staff needs to maintain safety, and functionality of all hospital systems, and work requests.
  • Must complete required documentation to meet regulatory agency requirements including all work orders, preventive maintenance, inspection, and testing records.
  • Must be able to give direction and oversight to support vendors and mechanics for repairs and installs.
  • Must be diligent in following up of repairs and installs until the work is completed.

Qualifications & Experience

Education:
Essential:
  • High School or Equivalent

Education equivalent experience:
Essential:
  • Trade School graduate or 12th grade education



Other information:
Experience Essential:
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in electrical trade work is required.
  • Installation, maintaining and repairing of commercial electrical systems

Experience Preferred:
  • Previous healthcare or industrial facility plant maintenance experience.

Certifications Essential:
  • Vocational or Electrical Trade School Certificate of Completion

Licenses Essential:
  • Valid State of Florida driver’s license.
Licenses Preferred:
  • State Electrical License (Journeyman or Masters)
