Teacher Assistant Pay range: $14.50 $18.25 Hours: 9:00AM 5:30PM. We are looking for a friendly and competent Teacher Assistant to join our great team. In this position you will be responsible for the care of young children and assist the classroom teacher in planning and presenting age-appropriate activities. We are looking for a Teacher Assistant who is energetic and dependable. Teddy Bear Day Care Center has been providing childcare services to our community for the past 25 years and we are committed to providing quality care. We offer consistent hours in a safe and friendly atmosphere. We support our staff within the classroom including assistance from childcare resource agencies and specialists. For the Teacher Assistant position, salary depends on experience and education level. Additionally, a CDA or a degree in a childcare related field may qualify a candidate for a Lead Teacher position. Responsibilities of the Assistant Teacher Position: Instruct children in activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth. Create a fun and safe learning environment. Develop schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime. Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents. Communicate with parents on students' growth and progress. Maintain the health and safety of all students. Assistant Teacher Qualifications: Must have a high school diploma or GED (previous experience in childcare preferred.) Passionate about working with children. Ability to build rapport with children. Positive and patient demeanor. Good written and verbal communication skills.
