The Position:
HID Citizen Identification (CID) is looking for a Software Engineer to join the team of experienced Chip Operating Systems, middleware developers and certification specialists.
The role is fully onsite based here in our office in Arzano, Italy. You are fluent in English (orally and by writing) and can converse in Italian. You are proactive, problem solving oriented and have a strong team spirit.
We are looking for:
Education and/or Experience
- Degree holder in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related disciplines
- Experience and/or knowledge in C, C++, Java and/or C# programming
- Knowledge in software engineering principles
- Knowledge in computer architecture
Following experience, a definite plus
- Knowledge in system embedded
- Development of Operating Systems on secure micro-controllers
- Knowledge in ISO7816, ICAO DOC9303 and BSI TR-03110 specifications
- Experience in Common Criteria certification of Chip Operating System and/or JavaCard applets
- Knowledge in cryptography and in secure implementation
Some of your tasks will include
- Study of standards and specifications related to Smart Card applications
- Working in team to develop native Chip Operating Systems and Java card applications on new secure microcontroller chip platforms
- Implementation of new features for e-Documents such as e-Passports, identity cards and digital signature cards
- Implementation of personalization tools for Smart Card applications
- Analysis and design of new architectures for Chip Operating Systems
- Code vulnerability analysis
- Analysis of the software attacks and countermeasure implementation
- Study, analysis and implementation of communication protocols (contact and contactless) for Smart Card applications
- Writing documentation
